Amy Werntz: Portraits

Award-winning Dallas artist Amy Werntz meticulously crafts highly realistic portraits of elderly women, figures and faces isolated from the environment. Their features, gestures, clothing and props offer only clues to a narrative. She leaves the viewer to fill in the details from their own life experience, to create a story from their history and perhaps to see the importance of each and every life in a society that is often too fascinated with the lure of youth.
